The Toxaway foot bath is one of the detoxifying treatments at Pine Tree
Clinic. There are a number of these products on the market, called ion
cleanses in other clinics. The one we use is provided by Dr. Klinghardt
of the American Academy of Neural Therapy in Seattle. The electrolytic
footbath produced in Switzerland has been tested by Dr. Klinghardt and
it is sold in the USA by BioPure exclusively through BioTools, Inc. and
by INK in Germany.
Toxaway works on the principle of the electrolysis. The electrolytic
process with its two electrodes in the bath creates an electrical field
and thus an ionized solution. One of the two electrodes – the cathode
– is loaded with negative electrons and the other one - the anode
- is loaded with positive electrons.
Toxaway supplies a continuous current through its electrodes in a plastic
case immersed in the bath. The electrical current ionizes the salt/water
solution in the bath and, as we have noticed, has a positive effect on
the human body.
With Toxaway, an electrical current flows, building up a bioenergetic
field in the water that corresponds to the potential of the patient. The
bioenergetic resonance is transferred to the whole body, rebalancing the
biofield of the body. This positively influences the micro-circulation,
improves the oxygen flow and the nourishment of the tissue as well as
the disengagement of toxins.
I have repeatedly given my best attempt to clarify the underlying science.
The electrochemical process in the bath activates the autonomic nervous
system (ANS) in the feet. As most people are aware of, the ANS of the
feet as metaphorically described in the acupuncture system relates to
the detoxification organs: the kidney (soles), the liver and spleen (big
toe), and the gallbladder (fourth toe).
Detoxification with Toxaway can have a positive influence on the recovery
of health in the
following cases:
• indigestion e.g. diarrhea, constipation
• irritation of the skin, neurodermatitis, psoriasis, dry skin.
• irritation of the mucous tissue and irritation of the gums
• high or low blood pressure
• allergies and poor efficiency of the immune system
• reduced mental capacity e.g. lack of concentration and bad memory
• depression and irritation (ill-humour)
• heavy legs restless leg syndrome
• lymphatic blockage
• overweight and cellulite
• menstruation problems and pain caused by metabolic problems
We clearly want to separate the myth and the science:
The water does change color and there have been very speculative assumptions
about it like, “It’s the toxins coming out” and others.
First: if any of the baths are run without feet in it there will still
be a color change. This is directly related to the number of ionizable
substances in the water used and also depends on how many metals the electrodes
themselves dissolve into the water. When different waters are used, different
colors appear.
